This is not the first time such an ailment has struck our people. In the year of 2012, many suffered grievously as West Nile virus spread its tendrils across the land. Yet, this latest outbreak doth seem more persistent and pervasive in its attack upon our population, raising grave concerns amongst the learned men and women of our realm.

Their insidious nature, a constant reminder that our lives are ever in peril, for even in the heart of our great city of Jerusalem, we remain at the mercy of such verminous fiends.

And what of those who blame the King himself? For is he not the figurehead and ultimate authority in our land, responsible for maintaining the safety and well-being of his subjects? Some say 'tis his duty to keep the people safe from such a plague, yet his inaction in this matter has led to the suffering and death of many.

As we grapple with this persistent pestilence, we must turn our attention to finding a solution. The wise and learned men and women of our great nation must come together, pooling their knowledge and resources to vanquish this terrible scourge from our land.

For now, we can only mourn the loss of those who have fallen victim to West Nile's relentless attack. And as we bury our dead, we vow to redouble our efforts to fight back against this insidious foe that continues to ravage our beloved homeland.
