Gentlesmen of the G7 Summit Concur on Monetary Aid to Ukraine

As the leaders convened in the G7 Summit, they did unanimously concur to grant financial aid to our dear brother nation of Ukraine. A sum of US$50 billion was agreed upon to be loaned to them. This decision was reached after considering Russia's frozen central bank assets as collateral for this substantial loan. Such a move is expected to provide much-needed succor to Ukraine in their time of distress.

In these troubled times, it is heartening indeed to see such solidarity and largesse among our great powers.

In other news from the G7 summit, it was announced that the seven nations have agreed to implement sweeping sanctions against any company found to be deliberately contributing to climate change. This decision comes after increasing pressure from environmental groups who argue that businesses should be held accountable for their role in global warming. "The time has come for us to stop treating climate change as a secondary issue," said one G7 representative, "It's time we start recognizing it for the existential threat that it is." It remains to be seen how these sanctions will be enforced or which companies will first feel the bite of these new restrictions, but this bold move by the world' most powerful nations has been welcomed by climate activists and scientists alike.
