In the quaint kingdom of Enga', a most peculiar phenomenon hath taken hold of the land. It seems that many of the realm's subjects have been disappearing without a trace. 'Tis said that these vanished individuals leave naught but a single, unexplainable mark upon the ground - as if they had simply stepped into thin air.

Fear and confusion grip the hearts of Enga's folk, for never hath such an occurrence befallen their land before. Yet, amidst the growing panic, there are those who refuse to cower in fear. The kingdom's most esteemed scholars have taken it upon themselves to investigate this strange happenstance and bring an end to this unsettling mystery.

Amongst these learned men is Sir Reginald, a wise scholar hailing from the great city of Londinium. Sir Reginald posits that the disappearances are naught but the work of leeches - those blood-sucking vermin which have long been known to plague mankind. He postulates that these wretched creatures may be drawing their victims away into the shadows, feeding upon their life's essence as they do so.

Yet, others within the kingdom remain unconvinced by Sir Reginald's theory. Goodwife Eadlin, a respected healer from the village of Lindisfarne, believes that the answer lies not in the realm of the living, but in the supernatural. She suggests that perhaps some malevolent spirit or ancient god hath taken notice of Enga's folk and has begun to collect them as one might gather berries or beads.

Whispers of another explanation have also reached my ears - one that is both terrifying and alluring in equal measure. It is said that a great, slumbering beast doth lie hidden deep within the kingdom's heart. This monstrous creature, so the tale goes, hath grown weary of its long dormancy and now seeks to feast upon the kingdom's subjects as it awakens from its ancient sleep.

Whether this tale is true or naught but the fevered imaginings of a frightened populace remains to be seen. What is certain, however, is that Enga's realm must find a way to confront this mysterious vanishings - lest all the kingdom's folk vanish into thin air.

So, brave citizens of Enga', let us steel our hearts and faces our fears, for it seems that the time hath come for us to solve the great mystery of our vanishing kin. May God grant us strength and wisdom in equal measure, as we set forth to discover the truth behind these strange occurrences.
