In the year of oure Lord, 2024, on a fair Tuesday morn, came tidings from o'er the sea, that a woman of great wisdom and wit, hight Jenny Erpenbeck, had been deemed worthy by the fates to receive the much-coveted International Booker Prize. Lo! This noble laurel was not for her first book, nor even her second, but for her magnum opus, Kairos, a work of such depth and learning that it hath set many a scholar's head spinning.

Hofmann's translation hath been hailed by many an esteemed critic as a tour de force in its own right, worthy of the same acclaim as Erpenbeck's original. Thus it is that two souls have been united in this moment of triumph, their names forever linked in the annals of literary history.
