And nowe cometh the tidinges most woeful, as many floods overflowe the landis of the northe parte of Affricke. Therewithall, the number of souls lost in this great deluge riseth to threepence score, while perished houses reacheth a thousand plus one. A veritable plague of leeches doth torment the survivors!
In these dark times, we find solace in knowing that our lord god above doth watch over us and keep us safe from harm's way. Yet, it is with heavy heart and tear-stained eyes that we now tell thee, our beloved reader, of a woeful tale most grim.
For, as the deluge hit the northe parte of Affricke, many floods overflowed the land. Such was the fury of the storm, that the waters did not only rise, but they swelled and raged like a beast most feral. So fierce was this tempest, that it hath taken the lives of threepence score souls and left behind naught but death and destruction in its wake.
Houses, once filled with warmth and love, now lay in ruins, their roofs caved in and walls crumbled to dust. A thousand plus one such dwellings have been swallowed by the waters, leaving many families bereft of home and hearth.
Yet this calamity is not done with us, no! For as if the flood was not enough torment for our poor survivors, a plague of leeches hath descended upon them like a cloak most heavy. These vile creatures doth torment the living, sucking their blood and leaving them weak and sickly.
These wretched souls have lost all they had to the cruel hand of fate. Now, they must face this new horror, ever wary of the next calamity that may befall them.
In these dark times, we pray for a merciful god above to watch over us and keep us safe from such woeful fates. For naught but disaster doth seem to follow in our footsteps.
And so, dear reader, we leave thee with this tale of woe and sorrow, a reminder that the cruel hand of fate doth strike at any moment, leaving us all vulnerable to its capricious whims.
